WEC crews have restored power to all but about 43 members and they continue to work on the remaining outages. It is possible we will sustain more damage on the system, and crews will continue to work on the remaining restorations.

Crews have repaired the broken pole in Vershire and restored power to 107 members there. WEC has just had another outage in Northfield affecting about 107 members. Other members are also out of service in Tunbridge, Plainfield, Marshfield, Corinth, Calais, Williamstown, Orange and Newbury. All are due to trees coming down due to high winds. Line workers continue to make repairs.

WEC crews have restored power to all but about 160 members. The outage in Vershire is due to a broken pole line workers are working on replacing. We anticipate restoration by about 1 pm. Other crews are working on the other outages as well. Winds are expected to increase again this afternoon, with gusts as high as 50 mph, so we anticipate there may be additional outages. WEC is now including restoration estimates on our outage map as we develop them. Of course, those restoration estimates are subject to change as crews discover actual conditions on the ground.
Remember: Do not approach downed lines or trees on lines, as they may still be energized.

Like much of Vermont, WEC territory had power outages last night due to high winds. Crews have been working over night to restore service and remain in the field. Vershire and Corinth were among the towns with the highest number of outages. In the early morning hours, roughly 1,300 WEC members were out of power, but that has been reduced to about 400 now. Statewide more than 7,400 remain out.
Remember: Do not approach downed lines or trees on lines, as they may still be energized.
