After two days of terrific work by WEC line workers, member service representatives and dispatchers, along with some very welcome assistance by Vermont Electric Cooperative and contract crews, all WEC members have had power restored. Thank you to all who helped and to members for their patience.

Crews have restored power to all but about 340 members, but more than 30 separate issues remain on the lines. Crews will continue to work into the night, and we anticipate restoring electricity to most of those who remain out of power, but some more difficult or more remote areas may not be restored until late tonight or even tomorrow morning. About 1,100 Vermonters remain out of electricity right now across the state.

WEC crews have restored power to all but about 500 members at this point, although additional outages continue to occur as snow comes off tree branches. WEC and the outside crews who have come to help will continue to work to repair the remaining outages.

All available WEC crews with additional help from outside are working on the Co-Op’s system. Additional outages are still coming in as snow is shed off trees, but we anticipate getting the bulk of the outages restored today. Some more difficult or more remote repairs may linger.

WEC crews worked to restore power overnight, but additional outages continue to come in as snow unloads from trees. Additional outside crews will arrive this morning and work will continue. The number of members out has been reduced to about 1,000 overnight.

Heavy snow has caused outages, including in WEC territory. Currently about 1,200 WEC members are without power, and about 7,000 across Vermont. Crews have worked all day restoring outages, but the large number of separate events – more than 40 right now – make for slow going. Full restoration will likely take into tomorrow.
