Friday, December 15 – 1 pm
WEC is experiencing scattered outages in the northern portion of our service territory. With warmer temperatures today, snow is unloading from trees that have otherwise retained their snow from the last storm(s). Currently, we have 4 outages with about 22 members without power in Cabot, Greensboro, and Stannard. Additional outages are possible today as snow continues to unload.
WEC is also monitoring the incoming weather expected on Monday, December 18. As of now, the forecast is for all rain, but there is the potential for gusty winds. We encourage you to prepare for potential outages on Monday. For tips, take a look at our Outage Prep Checklist. You can also call 211 for assistance with accessing basic resources, including heating, shelter, food, mental health resources, and more.
Remember: Do not approach downed lines or trees on lines, as they may still be energized.
If you see a tree on power lines or lines down, please report it to us: local 802-223-5245 or toll-free 1-800-932-5245.
