A falling tree has damaged WEC’s three-phase line causing outages in the Topsham area. Crews have had to take the line out of service to repair the damage, causing loss of power to roughly 1,000 WEC members in the towns of Topsham, Newbury, Washington, Orange, Corinth, Bradford and nearby. Crews are working to repair the problem now.
Although power has been restored in WEC territory from the damage caused by recent flooding, the saturated ground continues to cause otherwise healthy trees to come down and has contributed to landslides in our territory, causing outages.
