Extraordinary work by WEC crews restored power to all members overnight. About 8,000 remain out around the state.
Thanks for our line workers, those who support their work, to the outside crew from Burlington Electric Department who generously helped us out, and to all who worked on this restoration effort.

WEC crews continue to make progress on restoring power, but it is somewhat slow going as there are many outages in our territory and each outage restored returns power to a small number of members in many cases.
There are currently about 133 WEC members out of power, and 17,000 statewide. WEC crews will work the rest of the day and continue overnight. However, it is likely that some members will remain out of service overnight in cases where the outage is difficult to reach or particularly difficult to repair.
Some members have noticed that our numbers on our outage map and the numbers on the VTOutage map do not line up. We have had a glitch were the VTOutage system is reading about 100 more members out in WEC territory than are actually out of power. The WEC outage map is the accurate on in this case.

WEC crews worked through the night restoring power to about 1,400 members. Additional outages continue to occur, and roughly 550 members remain out of service currently. With many small outage events across all but one of WEC’s 8 substations, crews will work throughout the day restoring power.

Outages continue to come in due to wind and other effects of the storm. About 1,400 WEC members are out of service. Roughly 48,000 are out statewide. Crews are in the field working on restoring power, but conditions are making it slow going and additional incidents continue to occur. We expect outages to persist overnight.

The remnants of Tropical Storm Debby have caused outages across the region, including roughly 700 out in WEC territory and increasing. About 26,000 are out of power across Vermont.
Given the winds, increasing number of outages and difficulty reaching some area we anticipate that some in WEC territory will remain out of power overnight.
